Firchat-Privacy Policy

At Firchat , your privacy is a top priority. Your privacy is at the core of how we design and build the services and products you know and love so you can trust them completely and focus on building meaningful connections.

We appreciate the trust you place in us in providing us with information, which we take very seriously.

We will not compromise on privacy issues. We design all of our products and services with your privacy in mind. We employ experts from a variety of fields, including legal, security, engineering, product design, and more, to ensure that any decisions we make respect your privacy.

We strive to be transparent about how we handle your data. Since we use many of the same online services you use, we know that insufficient information and overly complex language are common issues in privacy policies. We took the exact opposite approach: we wrote our privacy policy and related documents in plain language. We actually want you to read our policy and understand our privacy practices!

We work hard to keep your information safe We have a dedicated team to keep your data safe. We are constantly updating our security practices and investing in our security efforts to enhance the security of your information.

Privacy Policy

Welcome to Firchat 's Privacy Policy. Thank you for taking the time to read it.

We appreciate your trust in us with your information, and we intend to maintain that trust forever. Start by making sure you understand what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and the choices you have regarding your information. This policy describes our privacy practices in plain language and minimizes legal and technical jargon.

1. Scope of application of this privacy policy

This privacy policy applies to websites, applications, events and other services operated by Finchat . For simplicity, we refer to all of these as our “Services” in this Privacy Policy. For greater clarity, we have added a link to this Privacy Policy on all applicable Services.

Certain services may require their own unique privacy policies. If a specific service has its own privacy policy, that policy (rather than this Privacy Policy) applies.

2. Information we collect

It goes without saying that we can't help you make meaningful connections without some information about you, such as basic profile details and the type of people you want to meet. We also collect information generated when you use our Services, such as access logs, and information from third parties, such as when you access our Services through a social media account. If you need more information, we'll go into more detail below.

Information you provide to us

You choose to provide us with certain information when using our Services. This includes:

When you create an account, you provide us with at least your login credentials, such as:

username;

email address;

photo;

and more..

When you complete your profile, you may share additional information with us, such as details about your interests and other details, and content such as photos and videos. To add certain content (such as pictures or videos), you may allow us to access your camera or photo album. Some of the information you choose to provide to us may be considered "special" or "sensitive" in certain jurisdictions, such as your race or ethnicity, sexual orientation, and religious beliefs. By choosing to provide this information, you consent to our processing of that information.

If you contact our customer service team, we collect the information you provide to us during your interaction. Sometimes we monitor or record these interactions for training purposes and to ensure high quality service.

If you ask us to communicate with or otherwise process another person’s information (for example, if you ask us to send an email to a friend on your behalf), we will collect the information about that other person that you provide to us in order to complete your application.

Of course, as part of operating the service, we also process your chats with other users and the content you post.

Information We Receive from Others

In addition to the information you provide directly to us, we also receive information about you from other people, including:

Other Users Other users may provide information about you when they use our Services. For example, we may collect information about you from other users if they contact us about you.

Social Media You can create and log into your Firchat account using Social Google . This saves you from having to remember yet another username and password and allows you to share some of the information from your social media accounts with us.

Other Partners We may receive information about you from our partners, for example when Firchat adverts are published on partners’ websites and platforms (in which case they may pass on details about the success of the campaign).

Information collected when you use our services

When you use our Services, we collect information about which features you have used, how you have used them, and which devices you use to access our Services. For more details, see below:

Usage Information We collect information about your activities on our Services, such as how you use them (e.g., the date and time you logged in, the features you used, searches, clicks and pages shown to you, referring web page addresses) and how you interact with other users (e.g., the users you connect and interact with, the times and dates you communicate, the number of messages you send and receive).

Device Information We collect information about the device you use to access our Services, including:

Hardware and software information, such as IP address, device ID and type, device-specific and application settings and characteristics, application crashes, advertising IDs (such as Google’s AAID and Apple’s IDFA, both of which are randomly generated numbers that you can reset by going to your device settings), browser type, version and language, operating system, time zone, identifiers associated with cookies or other technologies that uniquely identify your device or browser (such as IMEI/UDID and MAC address);

Additional Information with Your Consent If you give us permission, we may collect your precise geographic location (latitude and longitude) in a variety of ways, depending on the service and device you use, including GPS, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connections. Even if you are not using the Services, collection of your geolocation may occur in the background if you have given us permission that expressly permits such collection. If you deny our permission to collect your geolocation, we will not collect it. Likewise, we may collect photos and videos from you if you agree (for example, if you want to post photos, videos or streams on the Service).

3. Cookies and other similar data collection technologies

Like most providers of online services, we use cookies to provide, protect and improve our services, including to remember your preferences, recognize you when you visit our website, and personalize and tailor advertising to your interests. To achieve these purposes, we may also associate the information in cookies with other personal information we hold about you.

You can use a variety of cookie management options. Please note that changing your cookie preferences may reduce your browsing experience on our website. In some cases, you may not even be able to use all or part of the features of our website.

Some web browsers, including Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome, have a Do Not Track (“DNT”) feature that tells websites that users do not want their online activities to be tracked. If a website that responds to DNT signals receives the DNT signal, the browser can prevent that website from collecting certain information about the browser user. Not all browsers offer the DNT option, and DNT signals are not yet uniform. As a result, many businesses, including Fircat , do not currently respond to DNT signals.

There is an outstanding issue, claim, or dispute that requires us to retain the information until it is resolved;
